Follow the checklist below to begin the transfer process:

1. Apply online for Admission. Click here to start the process.

2. Send your official college or university transcripts

A complete application requires official transcripts from all postsecondary institutions you attended including colleges, universities, or vocational schools. If you have attended Indiana University or Purdue University, your transcript can be unofficial. Even if credit from other postsecondary institutions is posted on your transcript, you still required to get an official transcript from each institution you attended. Official transcripts can be mailed to the following address: IPFW Admissions 2101 E. Coliseum Blvd Fort Wayne, IN 46805 or emailed through an e-transcript service to ask@ipfw.edu. If you are currently attending classes somewhere else, you will end up sending two official transcripts, one to complete you application and another once your official grades are posted for the semester.

3. Send your official high school transcript

Official transcripts can be mailed to the following address: IPFW Admissions 2101 E. Coliseum Blvd Fort Wayne, IN 46805 or emailed through an e-transcript service to ask@ipfw.edu. Your official high school transcripts need to come directly from your high school.

4. Have dual credit, Advanced Placement (AP) credit, CLEP scores or military service?

Make sure you remember to send all of the credit you have earned to IPFW. The following sources of credit are not automatically transferred to IPFW, unless you request it.

Dual Credit: Contact the Registrar's office at the university where you took the course to have them mail your official transcripts to IPFW.

Advanced Placement credit: Visit College Board to send your official scores to IPFW, click here to start the process.

CLEP: Visit College Board to send your official scores to IPFW, click here to start the process. IPFW only accepts a specific list of CLEP exams, along with a specific score. Click here to view which exams IPFW accepts, along with the minimum score.

Military Service: Credit for military service may be granted for basic service and may also be granted for educational experience based on the recommendation of Indiana University or Purdue University and the Guide to the Evaluation of Educational Experiences in the Armed Services. Admissions transfers the credit and each college or school determines if credit for participation in military services may be applied towards their degree program. 5. Await a decision regarding your application

Once you have submitted your application, official transcripts, and paid your application fee, Admissions will process your application. If you have questions about your application, contact the IPFW Office of Admissions at 260-481-6812 or ask@ipfw.edu.

Upon your admission to IPFW, you will receive an official credit transfer evaluation, which will show you how your courses transferred into IPFW. You will also be able to view how your transfer courses work within your current major by logging into your myBLUEprint. Prior to registering for classes, you should always meet with your academic advisor as exceptions may need to be made to your myBLUEprint. This will also ensure you don't register for courses you may already have credit for.
