The Office of International Education exists to serve you. We want to make your experience in the United States and at IPFW most productive and enjoyable. Most of our services fall into three major categories: immigration, health insurance, academic issues, and life in the U.S. If you don't see a service listed, please contact us and we will do everything we can to help you.

    • Office of International Education: Student Success Series –
    • Description : Study Tips, Writing Papers, and Academic Integrity CASA & DOS
  • September 2 – 5pm – 7Pm in Walb G21
    • Faculty International Mentor Meeting
    • Description: IPFW Community support of international students.  Please RSVP with iss@ipfw.edu to foster relationships between staff, faculty, and community members with IPFW international students. Dinner provided.
  • 9/9 2 pm, 9/11 – 10 am, 9/15 – 3 pm, 9/17 9am, 9/21 12n, 10/7 3pm  in WU 145
    • OPT Workshop for International students graduating in December
    • Description: Come learn how to apply for an OPT card that will allow international students to stay in the US and work after graduating.  This workshop is required for all interested students and must be completed before October 19th.

    • IPFW Office of International Education – student success series
    • Description:  Employment on Campus OIE & Career Services - Information for international students about employment opportunities on campus and CPT
  • September 11th 1 pm in WU 114 –
    • How to Afford Study Abroad
    • Description: Think study abroad is too expensive?  Come here about special programs that are practically free, working abroad, how to finance it, and how financial aid works. Students can  pay IPFW tuition/housing/meals for a semester in over 50 different countries!  Plus there are many fully-funded programs or numerous scholarships for which students can apply.  Guest speakers from the Office of Financial Aid, a local bank, and previous participants. 
  • September 16th  3 pm at Citilink bus stop
    • International Peer Mentor Meet up – Learn how to use the bus system in Fort Wayne, where to shop for food, and places to hang out with friends
  • September 25th-12-1.30pm Outside(back up: Walb Atrium)
    • International Education – Last Fridays: International Conversation Hour-IPSGA Picnic
    • Description:  Coffee, tea, snacks, friends and fun!
  • October 19th – 12noon Walb 222-226
    • International Faculty Mentor Program

  • November 6th  4-8pm, Walb International Ballroom
    • International Education Week: Global Student Celebration
    • Description: CELEBRATE ALL THINGS INTERNATIONAL @ IPFW! Did you know IPFW has students from about different 40 countries? Come learn about different countries and culture at an organization/info table fair, eat some International Appetizers, watch the fashion show, and see performances from around the world

    • International Education Week: How Faculty & Staff can support Study Abroad
    • Description: Ever have a student tell you they want to study abroad but you don’t know how to help them start?  Come to this informational meeting about how to help students have an international experience or lead one of your own!  Coffee and snacks provided.

    • International Education Week: The World Beyond IPFW lunch Panel
    • Description:  Hear from a panel for international and American faculty and students to learn more about life outside of the U.S.  Lunch provided
  • November 11th-11am-2:00pm Bookstore Hallway
    • International Education Week: Study Abroad Fair
    • Description: Come to the Study Abroad Fair to learn more about over 350 programs in over 55 countries! Representatives from IU, Purdue, third-party providers, and IPFW Faculty-Led Programs. + FREE PIZZA and giveaways like airfare vouchers and cell phone wallets.  Did you know you can pay the same prices you’re paying here at IPFW and spend a semester or Academic Year in over 50 different countries?  Did you know there are many additional scholarships and funding resources for all Study Abroad Programs?  Come Find out more!!
