Historical Course Analysis:

Three interactive dashboards have been created in order to analyze course offerings at IPFW from Fall 2002. The Historical Course Analysis dashboard provides a general overview of courses offered in a given Season (Fall, Spring, and Summer). The view aggregates the number of sections offered, the course enrollment at the time of the census, the maximum seat capacity for the course, and the subsequent fill rate (shown as a percentage). The Historical Course Analysis - Course Section Level dashboard is a more detailed look into the course sections offered. This view shows the pertinent details for specific course sections. The last course section analysis dashboard, the Course Section Time of Day Analysis expands upon the Section Level Analysis. This view aggregates specific course sections by the time of day at which the course begins; Morning Class Times, Afternoon Class Times, and Evening Class Times. All three dashboards can be filtered by Season, College, Department, Course, Course Section, Course Modality, General Education Course indicator, and by the specific Course Level (100 Level, 200 Level, etc.).

Faculty Workload:

This view is divided into three separate sections. The first section enumerates the FTE of Faculty Categories (Full-Time, Part-Time, etc.) by the specific Faculty Activity Type (Instructional, Research, General Instructional Support, Administration, and Other). The second section analyzes Enrollment and Credit Hour Ratios by Instructional FTE and Total FTE by Faculty Category. The third section is a course level detail that identifies course level information including faculty headcount, number of sections taught and the percentage of small class-section taught. The available filters for this view include Term, College, Department, and Faculty Category.

Student Retention:

This dashboard presents data on retention, graduation, and stop out rates based on Fall Census data. The dashboard can be sorted by Persistence Period (Fall-Spring, Fall-Fall), College, Department, Student Classification, and Class Level. The view can be further sorted by student level filters such as, Beginner student indicator, Matric student indicator, Full-Time / Part-Time status, and Residency designation.
