Students with Disabilities

The ADA Technical Assitance Program has been in place since 1991, shortly after the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Since its inception, the Program has consisted of a diverse array of projects to further the understanding and implementation of the Act. The program has created a vast infrastructure of resources, including numerous ADA publications and videos, materials targeted to specific audiences, training packages and an unparalleled knowledge of the ADA.

The site is for individuals with disabilities seeking employment, employers who want to know more about hiring people with disabilities, and policymakers.

The Job Accommodation Network Is a service of the Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) of the U.S. Department of Labor. JAN is one of several ODEP projects. JAN's mission is to facilitate the employment and retention of workers with disabilities by providing employers, employment providers, people with disabilities, their family members and other interested parties with information on job accommodations, self-employment and small business opportunities and related subjects.

The Workplace Solutions Project of Wider Opportunities for Women offers free resources and services to assist employers and unions to increase the access to and success of women in nontraditional apprenticeships, training programs and occupations. Job Accommodation Network
