Symposium to Highlight Student Research and Creative Endeavors

FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne’s (IPFW’s) Office of Research, Engagement, and Sponsored Programs is sponsoring the 2013 Student Research and Creative Endeavor Symposium, Friday, April 12, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Learning Commons on the second floor of Helmke Library.

This year’s event will feature a record 54 participants representing topics from Anthropology to Women’s Studies. The posters will be judged by a team of faculty and monetary prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place, as well as a People’s Choice award. Visitors to the symposium will select that winner.

The awards presentation will begin at 12:45 p.m. and will include remarks by Chancellor Vicky L. Carwein, Interim Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Steven T. Sarratore, and Associate Vice Chancellor for Research, Engagement, and Sponsored Programs J Albayyari.

The symposium is free and open to the public.
