“Election 2012: A Candidate Forum” Concludes Hispanic Heritage Month at IPFW

FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Where do the candidates in this year’s election stand on the issues? The public is invited to find out at Election 2012: A Candidate Forum, Monday, October 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Walb Student Union Ballroom. The forum is sponsored by the Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs, United Hispanic Americans, Hispanic Leadership Coalition of Northeastern Indiana, Hispanos Unidos, and the Fort Wayne Hispanic Chamber Of Commerce. The forum is free and open to the public.

The following are the candidates or representatives of candidates who have indicated they will be at the forum:

  • A representative of gubernatorial candidate John Gregg
  • Kevin Boyd, running for election to Indiana’s 3rd District U. S. House seat
  • Thomas Keen, running for election to the Indiana State Senate, District 16
  • Winfield Moses Jr., running for re-election to the Indiana House of Representatives, District 81
  • Lafayette "Lee" Jordan, running for election to the Indiana House of Representatives, District 84
  • Phyllis Pond, running for re-election to the Indiana House of Representatives, District 85
  • Nelson Peters, running for re-election as an Allen County Commissioner, District 1
  • Gina Burgess, running for election to the Allen County Council, At-Large seat
  • Sharon Tucker, running for election the Allen County Council, At-Large seat
  • Dennis Sprunger, running for the Allen County Council, At-Large seat
  • Norm Knuth, running for Allen County Coroner
