FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Join Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) for its 25th annual Health Fair, Wednesday March 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Walb Student Union.
"Silver and Spice: 25 Years of Celebrating Healthy Living" will feature over 80 vendors who will provide screenings and education on health-related subjects. Attendees will have access to over 40 heath screenings such as blood sugar, blood pressure, body fat, bone density, cancer, HIV, and depression. Full blood-health profiles (12-hour fast required) will be available for $28. Gift drawings and free food will also be available. A full list of health screenings is available online.
New this year—a "Mastodon Main Meal Makeover" cooking contest—where staff and student participants will each attempt to create the healthiest, most nutritious meal. The student competition will take place from 10:30 a.m. to noon and the staff competition from 12:30 to 2 p.m., both in the Walb Union Ballroom.
The IPFW Health Fair is sponsored by IPFW Center for Healthy Living: Campus Clinic and Wellness Programs; IFPW Athletics, Recreation and Intramural Sports; IPFW Peer Educator Program; IPFW Department of Nursing, and Indiana–Purdue Student Government Association (IPSGA).
