FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne’s Department of Engineering in the College of Engineering, Technology, and Computer Science (ETCS) is sponsoring its tenth annual Opportunity Banquet, Friday, March 23, in the Walb Student Union Ballroom.
The banquet and its accompanying Career Fair provide the opportunity for engineering students and local businesses to network and discuss possible employment. The Career Fair is from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. and is followed by the keynote presentation and then dinner.
“Ford: Accelerating Ahead,” will be presented by Susan Leone, Americas director, supplier technical assistance at Ford Motor Company in Detroit, Mich. In this role, she leads 500 engineers responsible for the quality and capacity of the components shipped from approximately 2,300 Americas suppliers located from Canada to Argentina. In addition, she has 28 years of technical and senior managerial experience in the automotive industry in other areas such as manufacturing engineering, production, quality, and advanced manufacturing technologies. Leone has a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology and an MBA in Strategic Management from Pace University.
Tickets for the banquet are available to the public for $30 each and are available through Friday, March 8. Preregistration is required; no tickets will be sold at the door.
