FORT WAYNE, Ind.—The Women's Studies program at Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) along with Campus Feminists in Solidarity and the Fort Wayne Center for Nonviolence will host the award-winning play Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues in celebration of V-Day 2014.
The Vagina Monologues will be presented February 14 and 15 in the Kettler Hall Studio Theatre at 8 p.m. both evenings.
The play is based on VDAY Founder/playwright Eve Ensler's interviews with more than 200 women. With humor and grace, the piece celebrates women's sexuality and strength. Through this play and the liberation of this one word, countless women throughout the world have taken control of their bodies and their lives. For more than twelve years, The Vagina Monologues has given voice to experiences and feelings not previously exposed in public.
Tickets: are $5 students, $10 adults, $25 for increased level of donation, and are available at the IPFW Box Office and online. All proceeds will benefit The Center for Nonviolence. The performance will include a silent auction as well.
