LGBTQ National Health Conference Hosted at IPFW

FORT WAYNE, Ind.—A two-day national health conference in Fort Wayne is specifically focusing on the physical, mental, and environmental health needs and challenges that LGBQT students face on a daily basis. "Queer Health on Campus: Addressing the Health Needs of LGBTQ Students" will take place at Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) in Walb Union, Room 116 on Feb. 7–8, 2014. Registration opens Feb. 6, 2014, from 4 to 6 p.m. in Walb Union, Room 116.

The health conference features sessions on transgenderism and HIV, a performance by the IPFW Student Theatre Organization, six prestigious keynote speakers, and more. Well-known author of the book Lesbian and Gay Youth: Care and Counseling, Caitlin Ryan, will start the conference off with her presentation, "The Family Acceptance Project."
