Local Student Mathletes® to Compete in (Local or State) Math Contest at IPFW

February 12, 2016 FORT WAYNE, Ind.— Middle school Mathletes® from area schools will compete in the chapter competition of the MATHCOUNTS® Competition Series on Saturday, February 13, at the Walb Union Classic Ballroom on the Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) campus. The competition has been organized by the IPFW Department of Mathematical Sciences.

January 11, 2016 FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Jeff Nowak, associate professor in the Department of Educational Studies at IPFW, along with Jennifer Hicks, science program manager for the I-STEM Resource Network at Purdue University, are co-principal investigators on a $738,000 grant awarded to the Purdue Research Foundation to fund STEM teacher recruitment and retention throughout the state of Indiana.
