Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)

Purpose and Goals of Organization:
To promote a means of communication and greater interest in the increase of knowledge of design, development, construction, languages, and application of computing.

Membership Requirements and Obligations:
Open to all IPFW students. To vote, you must hold a 2.5 GPA and will adhere to the IPFW Code of Student Rights.

Activities and Events Planned for Current Year:
Programming competition, social events, guest speakers.

Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE)

Purposes and Goals of Organization:
The promoting of high scholarship in computer and information science, as well as promoting interest and investigation in the fields.

Membership Requirements and Obligations:
At current, membership is open to all IPFW students. Undergraduate students must be a CS or IS major, having completed 45 or more credit hours of work with 15 credit hours in CS or IS. They must also have a 3.0 GPA or higher and rank in the upper third of eligible members. Graduate Students must be in ACS and must have completed 16 credits with the required GPA of 3.5 and a top third ranking. Lifetime dues are $85.

Induction ceremony.
