Three state-of-the art design studios containing Macintosh computers with industry standard software and worktables are central to the instructional process in the Department of Visual Communication and Design.
Also available are a service bureau equipped with laser and large format color printers and tabloid flatbed scanners. Dedicated photography darkrooms and a lighting studio are integral to the impressive facilities profile.
Additional workspaces exist in Dolnick Hall, where many design foundation courses are taught. Design history courses and guest lectures are housed in an impressive 75-seat smart lecture theater.
A hallway gallery displays VCD poster holdings and examples of successful studio projects. Strategically positioned leather couches provide comfortable seating and “hanging out” for students.
