Mr. Kristofer Sanchack's wide-ranging musical career began with his study of piano with local teacher Evelyn Shaw. He was privileged to continue his studies through Curtis Institute of Music mainstay Freda Pastor Berkowitz, whose close colleagues included Aaron Copland and Leonard Bernstein. Mr. Sanchack received a B.M. in Composition with Honors and High Distinction from Penn State University. While attending Penn State, Mr. Sanchack accompanied and/or performed with six different choruses, including women's, men's and mixed choruses, as well as the State College Choral Society, which performed Mendelssohn's Elijah with world-renowned baritone Sherrill Milnes. He holds an M.M. in Choral Conducting from the University of South Carolina, where he received an assistantship in Accompanying, and he is currently pursuing the D.M. in Choral Conducting at Indiana University, writing a dissertation on the Berlioz Requiem. Mr. Sanchack has served as Director of Youth and Children's Music at Second Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis, as well as the Keyboard Artist for the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir. Mr. Sanchack has led choral music at several leading universities, including Brevard College, Hollins University, and the University of Indianapolis. As a pianist, Mr. Sanchack has appeared with the Asheville Symphony, Greenville Symphony and Indianapolis Symphony orchestras.  He is currently also the accompanist for the statewide Melody Makers of Indiana.

Kristofer Sanchack
