Kevin Eubanks, Masterclass and Concert

Kevin Eubanks

Jazz great Kevin Eubanks was in Fort Wayne and IPFW on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015, as the keynote speaker for the Great KIDS 26th Annual Conference on Youth. Eubanks, most recognized as the former bandleader for “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” is one of the top guitarists on the scene today and a committed advocate to music education in our public schools. After the conference, Eubanks spent the day at IPFW leading a master class for middle and high school jazz musicians and rehearsed with Director of Jazz Studies Dr. Farrell Vernon and the IPFW Jazz Ensemble for an exciting concert that evening.  This is just one of many extraordinary experiences the IPFW Department of Music is able to offer their students.
