College of Arts and Sciences

One of the most important qualities of the IPFW Department of Physics is the dedication to having our students actively involved in our research.  Each Faculty member maintains their own research program.  In future months, we will expand the descriptions of each faculty member's research program.

Professor Timothy T. Grove's research is in Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics.  He is also investigating methods of improving student learning of physics.

Professor David P. Maloney's research is in Physics Education.

Professor Mark F. Masters' research is in Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics; Laser Physics; Applied Physics; and methods of improving student learning of physics.

Dr. Jacob Millspaw's is investigating aerogels, superconductors, and metal films; and methods of improving student learning of physics.

Professor Desiderio Vasquez is a computational physicist and nonlinear dynamicist.

Professor Gang Wang's research is in optical tweezers and optical trapping of small particles.
