"Joe Madison to Speak in Honor of King at IPFW"

The Relevancy of the Dream in 2013 and Beyond is the theme of radio personality and civil rights activist Joe Madison's speech at IPFW on Tuesday, January 15 in the Walb Student Union International Ballroom.  The event begins at 7 p.m..  Doors open at 6:30 p.m. 

Joe Madison can be heard weekdays, 6 a.m.-10 a.m. on Sirrus XM Satellite Radio Channel 128 "The Power." He is affectionately known as "Madison" or "The Black Eagle."  Madison established himself as a civil rights activist as an executive with the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) beginning in 1974.  His tenure spanned over two decades.

The 2nd Annual Chocolate Hour  is a collaboration between the African/African-American Historical Museum, MLK Club Inc. of Fort Wayne, Indiana Purdue Student Government Association and the Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs to commemorate the life and legacy of slain civil rights leader, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
