  • "Edward Hitchcock, Discoverer of Dinosaur Footprints"
  • Presented by Sarah Doyle, program manager for the Pocumtuck Valley Memorial Association, a history museum, library/archive and center for history education in Massachusetts
  • Sarah Doyle's lecture will discuss the dinosaur tracks of the Connecticut Valley and their discovery. She will also consider Hitchcock as a historical figure: theologian, mediator between science and scripture, his views of life on other planets, and about the discovery of dinosaur tracks on literary and other intellectuals, such as Emily Dickinson and Thomas Cole
