Students who have completed at least 15 college credits at another college or university are considered transfer students. The following information explains how the Office of Admissions determines your eligibility for admission to IPFW as a transfer student.
Your admission will be based on the following:
*Transcripts from any Indiana University or Purdue University campus can be unofficial
We encourage students to submit their application and transcripts in a timely manner so that we can complete the application review and initial credit evaluation.
Transfer Credit Equivalencies
To make transferring credits easier, Indiana has put together a Core Transfer Library (CTL). All CTL courses will meet the general education or free elective requirements of undergraduate degree programs, and a significant majority of CTL courses will also count as one-on-one equivalents to courses taught at your new campus.
IPFW is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Institutions of Higher Education. We accept credits from any college or university that is regionally accredited. A grade of C- or better must be achieved in a course for the credit to transfer to IPFW.
Please note, not all courses will transfer and/or apply to every major. You must see your academic advisor for additional information about transferring credits to your chosen major. Courses listed in our catalog are not guaranteed to transfer.
