2009-2010

Andrew Marcum was born in Dayton, OH. He graduated Cum Laude with a BSEE degree from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 2006 and has been with Raytheon in Fort Wayne, IN since 2006, working on command and control software, decision and assessment application system architecture, and military radios. Most recently he serves as the assistant technical director for the ARC-231 MUOS upgrade program. In his work, he does a lot of modeling and simulation including waveform development and RF analysis. He was a graduate student at IPFW and received his M.S.E degree from Purdue in 2010.

Josh Thorn is a graduate research assistant in wireless technology at IPFW. A native of northwest Indiana, Josh has been interested in engineering his whole life. In 2010 Josh graduated from Trine University with a bachelor's of science in electrical engineering. You may contact him with email.

Visiting Scientists

2010

Hakan Dogan was born in Istanbul, Turkey, in 1979. He received the B.S.E in Electronics Engineering in 2001, and the M.S.E. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Electronics Engineering in 2003 and 2007, respectively, all from the Istanbul University. From 2001 to 2007 he was employed as a research and teaching assistant at the faculty of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Istanbul University. In 2007, he joined the same faculty as an Assistant Professor. He has been an adjunct professor in the Turkish Air Force academy since 2008.  His interests lie in the areas of estimation theory, statistical signal processing, and their applications in wireless communication systems. His current research areas are focused on wireless communication concepts with specific attention to equalization and channel estimation for spread-spectrum and multicarrier (orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing) systems.  He currently serves as a vice president of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Istanbul University.
