Cooperative Education

The Department of Visual Communication and Design sponsors many cooperative education endeavors.  We are always looking for opportunities to connect our arts students with the community.  It provides practical experience, strengthens your resume and enhances our community.

IPFW Arts Connection

Students: If you are interested in becoming an IPFW Arts Connection scholar, contact the department chair to fill out the student documents that you can download from the list below.

Teachers: If you would like more information on how to obtain an IPFW Arts Connection scholar to work on a project in your K-12 classroom, please click on the information below or contact the College of Visual and Performing Arts at 481-6977.

National Student Exchange

National Student Exchange allows students to attend an out-of-state, U.S. territorial or Canadian university without paying additional tuition or taking non-transferrable credit hours. There are more than 190 universities available to choose from, including those in Hawaii, Nova Scotia, Guam, Alberta, California, and Puerto Rico.  While on exchange, students are granted the opportunity to explore diversity in course offerings, philosophies, culture, and geography.

In order to be considered for National Student Exchange, students must currently be enrolled in at least twelve credit hours; have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5; have completed at least 24 semester credit hours by the time of application; and be a sophomore or a junior at the time of exchange.
