Faculty Successes
Spring 2005
Members of the IPFW VCD legacy were represented at Artlink during “Exposure – Fort Wayne Photographers” from March 4 through April 6, 2005 . Of the 62 artists invited to participate in the show, six of them were alumni and current or former faculty. They included Sara Cordell, Christopher Crawford, Palermo Galindo, Cathleen Huff, Richard Papazian and Shane Perfect.
The work of AnnMarie LeBlanc, associate professor and chair of Visual Communication and Design, has been included in two recent exhibits. LeBlanc’s image “Arrested Flight” received Honorable Mention in the “Embodiment; Myths in Animal Form,” exhibition at the Post Picasso Gallery, Richmond, Vir., which ran from Dec. 10 – Jan. 10, 2005. Twenty-two works were included in this exhibit highlighting the cross-cultural use of animal forms to visually depict mythical archetypes. The juror was Ursula Ilse-Neuman, curator, Museum of Art and Design, New York. Her work can be accessed on-line at www.PostPicasso.com
LeBlanc also had three works exhibited at the Period Gallery in Omaha , Nebraska in “Spiritual VII International Exhibition.” Her works were on display from December 1 – 31, 2004 . The exhibition can be accessed on-line at www.periodgallery.com
