Faculty Successes

Spring 2007

Assistant Professors Shari Troy and Benita Brewer (of VCD) were awarded 2007 IPFW Summer Faculty Grants, both receiving $7,000. Twenty-seven proposals were submitted with only ten chosen.

Jane Purse-Wiedenhoeft is the co-chair of the Acting and Directing Symposium of the Mid-America Conference in Minneapolis during March. She is the artistic director and co-founder of a new professional women’s theatre company in Fort Wayne, tentatively called the Primrose Theatre Company. The group evolved from a project that was produced for Sophia’s Portico last year. Its premier outreach production will be a part of the Women’s Studies conference at IPFW in April.
