Joanne Schultz-Ithier, a native New Yorker, moved to Fort Wayne in 1991. Prior to taking a position with the IPFW Office of the Bursar in 1998, she had an extensive career in the medical field. She has been the secretary to the Department of Theatre since 2002.
Joanne has always had a love for the arts. In her younger years she performed on stage in the Miracle Worker, HMS Pinafore and The King and I. She has worked as a professional artist's model since the late 70's , is an avid gardener, and a published author of poetry. She is currently working on a children's book which was inspired by outings with her own children on Long Island, and is developing her own line of greeting cards.
