Steven T. Sarratore is professor of theatre and associate vice chancellor of academic affairs at IPFW. Sarratore received his M.F.A. in Theatre Design from Wayne State University . He has designed scenery and lighting for over 150 theatre, dance, and opera productions at various university and professional theatres. His designs include IPFW's The Tempest, Edith Stein, As You Like It and Waiting for Godot and Miami University Summer Theatre's Sunday in the Park with George. Sarratore has published several articles on postmodern design theory including "Design Games," which appeared in Theatre Topics. He also teaches playwriting, and his play "Visions of the Messiah" was produced at IPFW in 2002. Sarratore was the recipient of the 1999 Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Festival Gold Award of Excellence for his contributions to the development and quality of the Festival. He is also a past president of the Indiana Theatre Association.
