Lisa is originally from Allentown, PA where she received her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Dance from Muhlenberg College. While in college; Lisa participated annually in the American College Dance Festival (ACDFA) and made her film debut as a dancer in an independent film entitled “A.K.A.” Lisa went on for her graduate studies at Temple University in Philadelphia where she received her Master of Education in Dance (Ed.M.) in 2003. Within her education, Lisa had the opportunity to study under such distinguished dance educators as: Karen Dearborn, Luke Kahlich, Clare Byrne, Rebecca Lazier, Ann Vachon, and Brad Parquette.
Lisa moved to the Midwest in the summer of 2003, where she is currently an Associate faculty member of dance in the Department of Theatre at IPFW and adjunct dance faculty member in the Department of Art and Visual Communications for the University of Saint Francis. Lisa choreographs and teaches modern technique for the New American Youth Ballet Conservatory and teaches dance technique in the evenings for The Fort Wayne School of Dance. Lisa is also a modern dancer for a new company in Fort Wayne called: Dance Arts Theater and she is currently a member of the Arts Council for the Fort Wayne Dance Collective and has been a member of the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO) for the past 7 years.
