IPFW’s theatre department graduates can be found everywhere. They are employed in stage and television acting, stage managing, directing professionally, and producing in national and regional theatres.
IPFW alumni include Dan Butler of Frasier fame and Julia Barr of All My Children. One of our graduates recently stage managed the Broadway production of A Moon for the Misbegotten, and another is currently stage managing Broadway’s Beauty and the Beast. Another IPFW graduate has been artistic director of the Black Hills Playhouse in South Dakota for the past 15 years. Theatre students have gone on to many diverse careers such as theatre managers, stage managers, scenic painters, public relations managers, teachers, corporate CEOs, advertising personnel, graphic designers, and the list goes on.
