Alumni Successes

Spring 2008

Heather (Atkinson) Ramser (’07) is teaching K–6 music at Monroeville and Hoagland elementary schools in Allen County.

Mitch Freeman (’06) is teaching instrumental music at Portage Middle School in Fort Wayne.

Matthew Johnston (’07) is teaching K–6 music at Imagine Master Academy in Fort Wayne.

Aimee (Marschand) Slone (’05) is now teaching K–6 music at Oak View Elementary School for Northwest Allen County Schools.

Alissa Schoon (’06) is the choral teacher at Prairie Heights Middle and High School in Lagrange, Ind.

Ben Wedler (’04) received an Anthony Award for 2006–07 Outstanding Leading Male Performance in a Musical from the Fort Wayne Civic Theatre for his role as Horton the Elephant in Seussical.

Heather Palmer (’06) accepted a clinical music therapy position with Meaningful Day Services Inc., serving clients in the Allen County area.

Diane Parker (’00) was recently accepted into the master’s degree program for vocational rehabilitation counseling at Ball State University.

Sarah Scott (’06) completed a clinical internship with Helping Hands Center for Special Needs in Worthington, Ohio, and accepted a clinical music therapy position with Meaningful Days Services Inc.,
serving clients in the Indianapolis area.

Jennifer (Sons) Ferrara (’00) was approved by the American Music Therapy Association to begin a music therapy internship program at Behavior Specialists of Indiana in Valparaiso, Ind.
