Fred Fenster: Working With Pewter

The Department of Fine Arts is pleased to offer a unique opportunity
for artists to participate in a four-day workshop with metalsmith Fred
Fenster. During this four-day workshop, participants will work under
the direct supervision of the instructor, Fred Fenster, to have a
hands-on experience with exploration and creating an object, and
possibly up to three finished pewter art works. Fenster will be
demonstrating and using the following processes and techniques;
fabricating, raising and forming and flatware. The workshop will be
held in the IPFW Department of Fine Arts Metalsmithing Studio, Visual
Arts Building, Rooms 119 & 121.
This unique opportunity is open to the general public for $250 and all
non-credit fees include materials. IPFW students with a valid university
ID pay just $146 for this noncredit course and must register in person
in Kettler Hall, room 139. This course is also available for credit to
IPFW students (FINA P490-01 CRN 23928). To register for credit, students
should follow standard registration procedures. Credit students will pay
an additional fee of $40 for materials.
