eLearning
eLearning is an online learning system designed for ease of use. It is used extensively in thousands of colleges and universities, in more than 70 countries worldwide expanding the boundaries of teaching and learning. Students can access course material posted by their professor on eLearning for each of their classes. Those course materials can include:
- Announcements
- Assessments
- Assignments
- Calendars
- Syllabus
- Grade Books
- Student Groups and Discussions
Instructions to access eLearning for students are included below. If your professor has not yet posted course materials on eLearning you will need to get that information directly from your instructor.
Accessing eLearning
- Should any security alert boxes appear, click “yes.”
- On the IPFW eLearning Resource Page, read the text under announcements to be sure that eLearningT is operational.
- Click the link that reads “click to log-in” under “Log Into eLearning” listed next to the announcements on the right hand side.
Before you log in
- In order to use eLearning, pop-ups need to be enabled. Visit http://elearning.ipfw.edu/troubleshooting/popups.shtml to learn more.
- To the right of the log in box, there is a link to run a browser check. eLearning automatically checks your browser; you do not need to run the check, as the website runs it automatically.
Logging In
- Enter your IPFW username and password.
- Click “yes” to any security boxes that pop up.
Downloading Documents
- The Course List in the middle of the screen shows the classes your are enrolled in. Clicking on the course title will take you to a page with the necessary documents for that class. (If an instructor has not uploaded any documents, a pop-up will inform you that “there is no content associated with this course.” If you think there should be, contact your instructor.)
- Choose the document you need.
- Be sure that your browser does not block the download. Visit http://webct.ipfw.edu/troubleshooting/blocked-content.shtml to learn more.
- After clicking on the needed document, you will be able to choose between opening the file without saving it, or saving the file to a convenient location. If you open the document, the document will appear on the website. You can print it directly from there, or click Printable Version for a clean copy.
