Students use creative imagery to develop characters while learning movement and vocal techniques in an exciting atmosphere. Grades K-2

Youth Drama

Students take a closer look at character and keep building on their theatre skills with improvisation and small scenes. Grades 3-5

Theatre Masters

Students build their skills in character development through acting, voice and movement techniques. Monologues and scene work are used.

NEW!! Summer Musical Theatre Intensive (2 weeks)**

Singing! Dancing! Acting! Learn it all in this two week musical theatre intensive workshop offered by the Department of Theatre in partnership with the IPFW Community Arts Academy. Study with professional musical theatre experts designed to make every participant a top notch musical theatre performer. There will be a musical theatre performance the last day of camp - FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! Bring a sack lunch. Grades 9-12 (Materials included)

  • Dates: 2 week course – June 16 through June 27
  • Time: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Location: RC 122, Williams Theatre and Williams Theatre room 113
  • Instructor: John O’Connell, Craig A. Humphrey, Mindy Cox, Holly Knott and others
  • Fee: $325
  • Registration/Payment due by June 6 -$10 late fee after June 6

**For those students who wish to take this workshop and earn 3 college credits, please contact Ann Brown, Collegiate Connection, 481-5478 to register. The tuition for participants in this program would be at the regular college tuition rates. In order to qualify for the Collegiate Connection Program, you must be a current junior or senior, have a B average at high school and have passed both sections of ISTEP. Possible scholarships available for eligible students registered with Collegiate Connection. Only a limited number will be accepted.

Show Choir Camp

This exciting camp gives you the opportunity to develop or refresh your dancing and singing skills while having fun with your friends. If you're looking forward to being in a show choir in high school, or are just looking for a fun activity this summer, this camp is for you! There will be a show performance the last day of camp - FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! Bring a sack lunch. Grades 6-9 (Materials included)

  • Fee: $240
  • Registration/Payment due by July 3 -$10 late fee after July 3

REFUND POLICY:
A full refund is given when the university cancels a course or when the IPFW Community Arts Academy receives notification of withdrawal from the registrant before the third (3rd) business day PRIOR to the start of the class.  No refunds will be given after class or private instruction begins.
