Private Instruction

New and Returning students must register each semester.

Time, amount of lessons and location must be arranged with instructor before you call to register. Please have all information correct, including number of lessons and duration, before registering for lessons! Lessons are 30, 45 and 60 minutes. Semester classes begin the week of August 25 and run through the week of December 15, 2008.

Instructors: IPFW Music Department faculty, professional community musicians and select IPFW students. 

Lessons Available: Piano, Voice, Violin, Viola, Percussion, and Guitar.

Suzuki Piano

New and Returning students must register each semester.

The Suzuki method effectively combines private and group piano instruction for children age 3 and older with parent participation. Lessons are 15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes with a monthly group class. Semester classes begin the week of August 25 and run through the week of December 15, 2008.

IPFW Community Flute Choir

High school students and adults.  A variety of styles are taught in this program.  Please call Ann to audition.

NEW!! First Steps in Music for Infants and Toddlers
(Ages: Birth to 3 years)

Parents will learn an extensive collection of playful songs, rhymes and soothing lullabies to share with their child.  Parent and child participate in class together.  Based on folk and traditional songs and rhymes, this class will encourage the development of music intelligence and sensitivity to music along with memory, movement, language and social skills.

Dates:  MONDAY NIGHTS!!  Sept. 29 – Nov.3

            1 year – 2 years            6:30 pm – 7:00 pm      $49
            2 years – 3 years          7:00 pm – 7:30 pm      $49

Registration/Payment due by Sept. 19 $10 late fee after Sept.19

 

REFUND POLICY:
A full refund is given when the university cancels a course or when the IPFW Community Arts Academy receives notification of withdrawal from the registrant before the third (3rd) business day PRIOR to the start of the class.  No refunds will be given after class or private instruction begins.

If you are interested, please call Maggie at 481-6059 and ask for a Scholarship Assistance form to be considered for a scholarship. Scholarships are for classes only.  Scholarships do not apply to private music instruction or Suzuki piano.
