ACCS - 2005-2006

      Compare student spring GPA's and yearly retention rates retention rates with those who did not attend a workshop.

  • Objective
    Collect data on the earned hours and GPA of minority students in ACCS and compare them to other academic departments.

  • Objective
    To assist students gather information from various academic departments, which will in turn help them make more informed choices about their major. Choosing their major and being satisfied with their choice will help students get and stay connected to IPFW, thus helping with retention.

      Utilizing the information they collected and learned during the Majors Fair, students will feel more confident making a decision about their major.


  • Objective
    By creating a more efficient posting process of non-degree and work study positions, employers will have more control over when they post and remove their positions that are posted. This process will also require employers to report on who they hired and at what pay rate, which will help us in our reporting for Job Location & Development. In addition, this process will provide students with greater detail of the positions that are posted.

      Evaluating the job postings from the 2005-2006 school year to determine thoroughness.

      Due to greater detail in the position descriptions, students will be able to determine what jobs are appropriate for them.

  • Objective
    Through this programming, we will reach a greater number of students in unique populations. Not only will this help students understand that we serve a wide variety of students on campus, but it will assist these students in their transition to the workplace.

      An evaluation will be completed by all students who participate in the program series.

      Students will feel better prepared to handle the challenges and possible obstacles related to race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, and gender that may come up during the job search process.

    To determine if the needs of students, alumni and community members are being met through individual appointments.

      Anonymous evaluations filled out by individuals following the career appointment.

      Utilizing the information collected on the evaluation forms, the career staff can better evaluate how to improve their counseling skills.

    To determine the most valuable and least valuable information that was presented to create more useful presentations.

      Individual evaluation forms filled out by each student at the presentation.
