Ph.D. in Biology or related field. Postdoctoral experience preferred.

Duties:

Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate courses in human and animal physiology and an upper division class in area of expertise. The successful candidate will also be expected to develop an active research program in physiology that involves Master's level and undergraduate students and attracts extramural funding.

Description of the department:

Biology currently has 15 full-time faculty with research and teaching interests in ecology, behavior, ecotoxicology, physiology, genetics, immunology, microbiology, plant science, zoology and developmental biology. The department has over 400 undergraduate Biology majors and an active Masters program with about 40 students. We are housed in the Science Building, opened in 1998. A greenhouse and head house are attached to the Science Building. We also have a 9,000 square foot AAALAC approved animal facility next door and operate the Crooked Lake Biology Station 30 miles northwest of campus.
