
Objectives
- Provide academic skills instruction in math, science and Language Arts.
- Positively impact grade averages and test scores of students with special emphasis on math and Language Arts.
- Make available tutoring and academic counseling for all participants both on campus and in program schools.
- Assist participants with the preparation of college applications and financial aid forms.
- Instill a positive attitude and appreciation toward lifelong learning.
- Expose students to new academic, social, and cultural learning experiences.
To accomplish the objectives, students participate in two program components: a nine-month Academic Year Component, which supplements the traditional school year and a six week Summer Academy (which includes a three week residential stay).
