Objectives

  • Provide academic skills instruction in math, science and Language Arts.
  • Positively impact grade averages and test scores of students with special emphasis on math and Language Arts.
  • Make available tutoring and academic counseling for all participants both on campus and in program schools.
  • Assist participants with the preparation of college applications and financial aid forms.
  • Instill a positive attitude and appreciation toward lifelong learning.
  • Expose students to new academic, social, and cultural learning experiences.

To accomplish the objectives, students participate in two program components: a nine-month Academic Year Component, which supplements the traditional school year and a six week Summer Academy (which includes a three week residential stay).
