
Placement Tests
Congratulations on being admitted to IPFW! Your next steps are:
1. Activate your myIPFW account.
2. Take your Writing Guided Self Placement.
3. View your Reading placement.
4. Schedule and take your Math placement test.
5. Print your placement information and bring it to campus with you.
6. Login to your myIPFW account to familiarize yourself with its features as email is your primary form of communication from the university.
English, Math, and Reading
Students admitted to IPFW must follow the Writing self-placement process and take the Math placement test before registering for any courses. Your advisor will use placement results to help you in planning your courses for your first semester. Transfer and/or nondegree students who have taken English composition and/or math at another college or university should check with the Admissions office about placement requirements.
Math Placement Tests
Students should allow at least one hour for the math placement test. Calculators are not allowed. Pencil and scratch paper will be provided. Students may retake the math placement test one time.
Scheduling
Math placement tests must be scheduled by calling 260-481-6600 or stopping by Kettler Hall, room 232. Math placement tests are given during the following days and times:

Students should arrive 15 minutes ahead of their scheduled appointment. Latecomers will be asked to reschedule their testing appointment.
Child-care arrangements must be made prior to the day and time of your exam. Children are not allowed in the testing labs and rooms.
People who require test accommodations based on disability, must contact the Director of Testing Services at least seven (7) business days before the scheduled test date. Disability documentation may be required.

We are sorry but we are unable to give Placement/Entrance Exams for students attending Universities other than IPFW.
