Modern Foreign Languages

Modern foreign language tests are administered in the areas of Spanish, French, and German. Students should allow at least 1.5 hours for the test.

The test comprises two portions:

  1. a one-hour timed reading comprehension section, and
  2. a listening comprehension section.

Test results will be available from the Department of International Language and Culture Studies 24 hours after completion of the test. You may call them at 260-481-6836.

Scheduling

Modern foreign language placement tests must be scheduled by calling 260-481-6600 or stopping by Kettler Hall, room 232. Modern foreign language tests are given during the following days and times:

Days Times
Monday- Thursday 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m., and 5:45 p.m.
Friday 10 a.m., and 1 p.m.
Saturday 9:30 a.m.

Students should arrive 15 minutes ahead of their scheduled appointment. Students arriving late will be asked to reschedule their testing appointment.

People who require test accommodations based on disability, must contact the Director of Testing Services at least seven (7) days before the scheduled test date. Disability documentation may be required.

Child-care arrangements must be made prior to the day and time of your exam. Children are not allowed in the testing labs and rooms.
