History
Tapestry: A Day for You began in 2002 as a way to enrich the lives of women in northeast Indiana and to raise funds for students studying in the College of Health and Human Services at Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW). Parkview Health shared this vision by joining forces with IPFW as the founding sponsor. Together with the support of additional sponsors and the women of Indiana, IPFW and Parkview have grown the event to encompass a full day of inspiration, renewal and education for women in all stages of life.
- Inspiration – Listen to the stories of the Scholarship recipients and the Dedication Award honoree. Threads of their lives will undoubtedly connect with yours.
- Renewal – Spend time with friends and colleagues while enjoying a schedule designed for you, the woman. Concentrate on you for the day and return to your life with renewed energy and passion.
- Education – Learn something new or do something fun at the various breakout sessions. Visit over 100 artist and exhibitor booths to see new products and services.
Over the last ten years, Tapestry has raised over $450,000 in scholarship funds, awarded $107,500 in scholarships to 30 students, enriched the lives of over 8,200 women, and honored 13 dedicated women.
