Mentor Responsibilities

Mentor
responsibilities:

Being a positive role model.

Providing helpful referrals for your mentee.

Participating in training sessions and group meetings.

Providing personal and/or social assistance to your mentee.

Guiding your mentee in developing realistic career
and academic goals.

Being an active listener.

As a mentor,
you are NOT responsible for:

Doing your mentee's homework.

Your mentee's financial situation.

Solving problems for your mentee.

Making life decisions for your mentee.

In order to be a mentor you must:

Be employed or enrolled at IPFW University.

Student mentors must be an academically
successful sophomore, junior, or senior.

Fill out an application to be interviewed.
