Join the Freshman Mentoring Program!
The IPFW Mentoring Program, founded in 1995, was originally initiated to support incoming freshmen who were participants in the 21st Century Scholars program. In the Fall semester of 1999, the program grew to include all incoming freshman who wished to participate.
Today, we continue to strive towards excellence by carefully selecting our mentors to provide the best possible experience for our mentees. Our purpose is to support freshmen with their transition into college, and to help them feel welcome, “connected”, and “at home”.

IPFW, like many other college campuses, recognizes the value of mentoring programs. Current research indicates that student satisfaction and retention increases as they become more connected with their university through mentoring programs.
The Student Life office at IPFW has a vested interest in getting you connected with our university so that you may become part of our living history and have the greatest opportunity for success.
