COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
PBS39 is offering IPFW students or student organizations a unique publicity opportunity during our upcoming pledge drive. Several times during the drive there are “live pledge shows” which we broadcast from our studio. If no paying underwriter is found, PBS39 makes this premium air time available to nonprofit teams at no charge. If a team of IPFW students would like to do this, you would need to supply 6 volunteers to answer our pledge phones on-camera. They can wear matching IPFW shirts and IPFW (and their student organization, if applicable) will be mentioned on the air during the live show broadcast. However, your team will be on a “stand by” basis. If a paying sponsor is found, your team will be cancelled (we usually can give you more than a day’s notice that your shift has been cancelled).
Below are the available shifts to do this. To sign up a “stand by team” of 6 people from IPFW please call or email Christine Zygmont (484-8839; christinezygmont@wfwa.org). I hope to see some IPFW students on the air!
