Club Sports

Cycling Club

  • Purpose and Goals of Organization:
    To promote the sport of cycling by providing opportunites for members to practice, and compete in mountain, road, and recreational cycling events. To provide fun, comaraderie, and challenge to cyclists of any level.
  • Membership Requirements and Obligations:
    Enrolled in 12 credit hours. A small membership due, $15 for one sememster, $25 for two semesters will be required.
  • Activities and Events Planned for Current Year:
    Group rides(weekly), compete in collegiate cycling races if interested, other events depending on member interest/financial matters.

Equestrian Team

  • Purpose and Goals of Organization:
    To enable our members to participate in IHSA events. Also, to help students learn about horses and the sport of horseback riding.
  • Membership Requirements and Obligations:
    Dues to the club are $50 per semester. Students must maintain a gpa of at least 2.0. Students may be expelled from this organization for conduct unbecoming and for violations of the student code of conduct.
  • Activities and Events Planned for Current Year:
    We will be attending several horse shows throughout the year, and volunteering at a local horse rescue.

"IPFW Wrestling Club

  • Purpose and Goals of Organization:
    Give students an opportunity to condition themselves, improve their wrestling skills and compete against quality opponents. To bring more students to the extracurricular activity of wrestling. Allow students to become involved in a program that disciplines and challenges them.
  • Membership Requirements and Obligations:
    Students must be enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours. Officers will be nominated by the voting membership and voted into postition by a simple majority vote and may be expelled if 2/3 voting membership vote to do so. Officers can run for office more than once.
  • Activities and Events Planned for Current Year:
    Team meetings, fundraising and practices.

IPFW Rugby Football Club

  • Purpose and Goals of Organization:
    To teach, practice, and compete competitive rugby.
  • Membership Requirements and Obligations:
    All players to play competitively must pay dues to the club, have health insurance, and be enrolled in the university for at least 3 credit hours.

Judo Club

Purpose and Goals of Organization:
Promote Judo and instill the principals and history of Judo.
Membership Requirements and Obligations:
Open to all IPFW students and may include a limted number of non-students. The minimum membership is eight members.
Activities and Events Planned for Current Year:
There will be meetings and practices.

Jujitsu Club

Purpose and Goals of Organization:
To provide a safe and comfortable environment to practice and train in reality based self defense.
Membership Requirements and Obligations:
Waiver completed and turned in to club official. 51% student, 49% non-student membership.

Mastodon Hockey Club

Purpose and Goals of Organization:
To Encourage student interest and involvement in the spirit of hockey. To provide the opportunity to participate in an organized hockey program at the college level.
Membership Requirements and Obligations:
Open to all IPFW students currently enrolled. Playing members must demonstrate adequate skill and ability via try-outs. All members are responsible for paying dues (amount will be determined by member's status). Members may be expelled from this organization for conduct unbecoming and for violations of the students code of conduct.
Activities and Events Planned for Current Year:
Planned weekly practices and several competitions are potentially to be played.

Waterski and Wakeboard Team

Purpose and Goals of Organization:
To compete regionally in water sports, specifically at shalom skiing, trial, and jump skiing. To promote the sport of waterskiing at IPFW and locally.
Membership Requirements and Obligations:
Open to all IPFW students currently enrolled, minimum membership is eight memebers,and free from discrimination.
Activities and Events Planned for Current Year:
Freshmen Fest, 3 Fall Tournaments and practices throughout the summer.
