Evening Itinerary

4:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Walb Student Union Ballroom


From 4:30 to 6 p.m.

  • Check-in
  • Pick up your welcome gift and packet of university resources
  • Take a Campus Tour
  • Acquire your Mastodon ID Card
    (A valid driver's license or state ID is required)
  • Purchase your books
  • Explore the Academic and Student Services Resource Fair

From 6 to 7 p.m.

  • A panel discussion hosted by students and faculty:
    Voices of Experience
    Do you have questions regarding getting started?
    Get the answers during this interactive program!

From 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Workshops will be hosted to help you kick off your academic career.
These workshops will assist you in being successful during your transition into college life.
Topics include:

  • Conquer Your Math Anxiety
  • Time Management
  • Computer Basics Focusing on my.ipfw.edu
  • Study Skills and Note Taking
  • Techniques for Writing Successful College Papers
  • Getting to Graduation

Your choice of topic...pick two!

  • Session I will be held from 7 to 7:40 p.m.
  • Session II will be held from 7:45 to 8:30 p.m.
