Research Interests
Professor Elias’s research interests focus on theories of democracy and active citizenship; community process; local governance (neighborhood group organizations; community-laden initiatives; direct governance; neighborhood and city planning; etc.); a phenomenological approach to people’s experiences in neighborhood improvement projects; public organization and public management theory; comparative Administration, among others.
