Why I am in the Program:
After working in family law (paralegal) and social work (victim's advocate) for over fifteen years, I came to realize that even though I had years of on the job training and was highly effective at my work; I did not truly know or understand why I advocated as I did. I returned to school to learn sociological theory behind practice and enhance my advocacy with knowledge about my community and world.
