Hi! My name is Donna Bialik and I am dean of students at IPFW. I am pleased to have this opportunity to welcome you to the IPFW community. This information which has been prepared for you introduces you to various IPFW offices and departments which provide services to support you in your learning experience. One of these offices is the Office of the Dean of Students.
While it is our hope that your learning experience at IPFW will be problem-free, please know that you may contact the Dean of Students office in the event you do encounter a problem. If we cannot provide you with direct assistance in resolving your problem, then we will refer you to an appropriate individual or office. Types of services you can expect to receive from the Dean of Students office include advice about your rights and responsibilities, assistance in pursuing grade appeals and student complaints, and assistance in withdrawing from the University for personal reasons. Other departments within the Dean of Students office that provide services to assist you in achieving your academic and personal development goals are: Services for Students with Disabilities, the Child Care Center, and the Student Assistance Program (personal counseling). In addition, the staff of the Dean of Students office serve as advisors to the Indiana-Purdue Student Government Association (IPSGA), the student governing body of IPFW which advises IPFW administration on matters of student life and welfare. On behalf of the staff of the Dean of Students office I extend to you our best wishes for a successful semester. Thank you for choosing IPFW to pursue your academic and personal development goals. We believe that you will have a rewarding educational experience. Students Rights and Responsiblities resources |
