Browser Configuration
Clear Temporary Internet Files/Cache
To speed the loading of web pages, browsers store cached or temporary copies of web pages and images to your hard drive. In most cases, this is a blessing but in some cases, where the information on web pages changes frequently including Banner 7, it is a hindrance. To delete these cached copies, use the directions documented on the IT Services web site.
Windows - Internet Explorer, Netscape and Firefox

Restore Internet Explorer Defaults
If you are using Internet Explorer, you may also need to restore default settings in the browser. Use these steps to restore your advanced default settings.
- Open Internet Explorer
- Click Tools
- Click Internet Options
- Click Advanced tab
- Click Restore Defaults button
- Click Apply button
- Click OK button
- Close Browser
- Reboot computer
Firefox & Netscape Tab Settings
If you are using Firefox or Netscape as your preferred (default) browser, you may need to alter your tabbed browsing settings. Some settings may cause your SIS session to close when clicking on a link in email. Use the setting below to ensure this does not occur.
- Click Tools
- Click Options
- Click Tabs (or Tab Browsing) at the top of the window
- Select "a new tab in the most recent window"
- Click OK
