Before You Begin
Adjust Screen Size
Windows XP
SCT recommends screen resolution settings of 1024 x 768 or higher for Banner 7. Keep in mind, changing this setting affects everything on your computer screen, not just Banner. If you increase your screen size (resolution) you will be able to fit more on your screen but in turn, everything is smaller.
If you prefer having things larger on your screen, you can keep your existing settings. You will just end up having to do a bit more horizontal scrolling to see everything in Banner.
To change your screen resolution:
- Right-click a blank area of your desktop and left-click Properties.
- On the Display Properties dialog box, click the Settings tab at the top.
- In the Screen resolution area towards the bottom left, take note of your current settings. In the image above, the resolution is set to 1280 by 1024 which is higher than 1024 by 768 so it does not need to be changed.
- If your resolution is set to 800 by 600, drag the slider to the right until it says 1024 by 768 pixels.
- Click OK.
- You may or may not be prompted to keep the settings. If you are, click Yes to keep the settings or No to discard.
- Be aware monitors and video cards differ and you may not be able to alter the settings much without rendering the display fuzzy, blurry or unreadable.
