Purdue University Committee on Institutional Affairs Meeting

Present:   Ronald Friedman, Zhongming Liang, Mathew Walsh, Nash Younis (Chair)

1.         Establishing an Academic Personnel Grievance Board

Currently, there are twenty members and three alternates on the Purdue Academic Personnel Grievance Committee.  We need ten more faculty to serve on this committee.  Nash will ask Jacqui to send a note to the Purdue faculty to fill up the vacancies. 

2.         Purdue Intercampus Faculty Council

The attached memo will be sent to the Purdue senators to solicit volunteers to serve as a Purdue University Intercampus Faculty Council representative.  The elected member will serve along with the Speaker of the Purdue University faculty.

3.         Report to the Board of Trustees

Nash will report to the Board of Trustees on September 23, 2005.  The short report will highlight the major issues IPFW is currently considering, namely the strategic plan and the educational objectives for the baccalaureate degrees.  In addition, he will highlight the faculty accomplishments and address the under-funding issue for IPFW.
