The Graduate Subcommittee met at 1:30, on 14 September, 1998.

Members present: David Turnipseed, Lowell Beineke, Carl Drummond, Carol Sternberger, David Legg, Ramesh Narang,
                            Jane Banks, & Masson Roberts
Members absent:   Dick Cochren, Jane Grant, Larry Griffin, Mitch Sherr, & Wen-Hui Tsai

The meeting was called to order by Jane Banks.

The Committee elected David Turnipseed as Chair for the 1998 - 99 year.

David Turnipseed, last year's Chair, briefly reviewed the business of the prior year.

There was discussion of the need to have 2 student reps. Carol Sternberger and Jane Banks suggested two possible student members, and were to talk with them about the possibility of membership on the Committee.

Carol Sternberger has notified the Committee that Rebecca Jensen has accepted one student position.

There was brief discussion about ideal meeting times.
